Let me to start of with the food here, The English breakfast was absolutely amazing! The eggs weren't too solid yet not too runny you don't find eggs like that around here. And the food wasn't greasy which wasn't too much of a surprise, And the deserts was amazing the fudge cake was lush. Furthermore the staff were kind and helpful and seemed to really be happy working there which is a great change from the monotone voices you get at other dine in places. The dining area looked very clean although there was a bean stain on the sofa, Luckily a nice young lad cleaned them up as he was coming around cleaning the tables. The Building is very nice as well wonderful atmosphere with the 90's music running in the background it was absolutely amazing. 5 Stars gonna come around this weekend

We went for Halloween afternoon tea. The kids enjoyed it, it's the second year we have done this. I also got hot beef and onion which was really good and the cakes are amazing. I would say the room looked more scary for Halloween last year but other than that would highly recommend always tell me friends about it

An absolute gem of a café, and in Nelson of all towns, like a diamond in the rough. All the food was of highest quality, the best in the area of any cafe by a country mile. The service, atmosphere (very relaxed), area, interior and exterior also excellent, surrounded by a very nice park. The full English was quality over quantity. The scone and clotted cream was likewise excellent, loads of clotted cream. The pot of tea the same. The wife had a tuna, mayonnaise, and cheese toastie which was also lovely, nicely perfectly toasted. And the millionaire shortbread likewise first rate, plus a can of coke for her. Came to less than £25 for pure quality all round. This is now my new favourite café. We got in without a reservation just fine, but that might have just been plain good luck, as there were some tables that had been reserved. The café is in the building 'Marsden Hall'. Photo is of a lovely old tree just outside the café, with the café building in the right of the background.
